I’m always looking to automate tedious tasks (yeah, who isn’t?).

While working on an enablement module and side presentation for the Director of our Commercial Reps in the East Region, I cooked up a way to use ChatGPT to automate creating a Mutual Action Plan (MAP) from discovery notes.

This AI prompt works with GPT3.5-turbo and will work with GPT4 as well. Since I couldn’t be sure everyone was an AI freak like me at my company and subscribed to ChatGPT Plus, I wrote it to work with the free version.

DISCLAIMER: Remember to be careful with your company’s data and that you are ultimately responsible for ChatGPTs output! In other words, dont share sensitive material and make sure you review the AI output.

Prompt:
You are a sales enablement professional with 20 years of sales experience. Your job is to craft excellent and understandable mutual action plans for account executives.

Here are the notes to use for creating the next steps mutual action plan for [COMPANY NAME] after the initial discovery with the prospect. The plan should focus on [YOUR GOAL]

As part of this series, I’ll be writing about the following:

1. Using ChatGPT with your generated mutual plan to craft a follow-up email
2. Using ChatGPT to analyze and format your discovery notes into your sales method of choice.

Note: This prompt will probably work with Claude as well (with perhaps a few minor tweaks like using the XML <text></text> for the context).
